Thread: Not new, but re-introducing myself

Hello all. I am not a GP owner, but currently own 3 Bonnevilles and a GMC Sierra.

I have not been very active here, but I have been looking a lot. I recently purchased HPT for my 2000 SSEi and looking for assistance with tuning. I am currently running an Intense S1x cam with a 3.2, mild P&P on the LIM and SC with Pacesetter headers and comp cams 105# springs.

I am running on my 3rd engine. The original L67 spun a rod bearing and then after 10k miles I lost a valve spring in the L32 transplant and demolished a piston. I am currently running another L32 with 37k on it and finally getting to tuning it. I previously had a friend do a little tuning, but nothing complete.

The transmission has 20k on it since the full rebuild. I feel my car is pretty strong now and I just want to get the full potential out of it with tuning and start hitting the track regularly.

Sorry to hear about the third engine. If I remember, you put the cam in back about the time that Comp Cam's started having spring issues.

On hitting up the track frequently. It's one of those things.. the more you tune out torque management, the tougher the engine will be on the trans. Check out the tuning section and I'm sure you'll find many tips etc.

If you need a stock bin there are a lot with OSID's in the name etc on BonnevillePro.com and there's a zipfile by Darkhorizon in the tuning section, but some are just osid and not labeled as to year/make/model. I unzipped/decoded that plus posted everything else that I had found.

Actually the spring that broke was a crow cams spring. I am currently running the comp cams.

Thanks for the tips on tuning. New territory for me, but enjoying it. I can already feel a difference in the power it is putting down.
