Hi.
I just bought a 1997 GTP with only 70,000 miles on it. I'm really excited about it. The car is overall in great shape and has been taken care of pretty well. I have installed a custom K&N cone intake, 180* stat, replaced a broken front sway bar link, reset the check tire pressure light (easiest fix - hardest for me to figure out), and repaired the vacuum lines in, out, and around the supercharger where it looked like either rats knawed on them, or someone cut holes in them. I am not getting great gas mileage (18 mpg city with lots of short distances between stop signs) so I am looking at replacing the fuel filter. I am also interested in replaceing the downpipe/ cat to get rid of the u-bend, and maybe working up to a 3.4" pulley once everything else is in place.
I used to have a couple of camaros and a 1992 Ford Thunderbird SC and love cars like this but as I have grown my family I have really only owned "practical" vehilces over the last 15 years so i am a little rusty on performance upgrades. I also have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2002 Ford Excursion Limited. I don't drive the Excursion much since it blows through roughly $25-$30/ day in gas around town, but we keep it for towing a camper.
This forum has been very valuable to me so far - so thanks to everyone for all the great posts!
