    Hey,
New here...I am hoping to get alot of good help and information in my quest to make my car my own. I have a question, what is the best cam I could get that I don't have to spend a ton of money and use with stock heads and springs? What does duration and lift mean?

That link for safely modding your 3800 powered car...was awesome. That was incredable information and will keep that on file. To the guy who wrote that...thanks. I'm sure all the 3800's that read that appreciate the information that was given. I know I do. This is a great forum and seems to be a lot of guys here that have a ton of knowledge on grand prix's. Thanks again.

Thanks again for all the input. Now, I was looking to get more into adding internal mods to my engine. I have the vs cam and looking to get springs, lifters and what else you think i would need? Right now, I am going to be adding a MSD Ignition control Mod, New radiator, hoses, 10.3 wires, msd coil packs ( yeah didnt realize until i read the thread about them), and some other suspension mods. I did buy a NOS kit. Will these mods I want to get make a difference for the L36 engine? I also have a flowmaster exhaust with u delete and res. I have a HYPERTECH v force tuner and will that make a differnce? I was thinking of a DHP/PCM upgrade or will that make no difference, since I have the tuner? Yeah, I probably went about this the wrong way but thats why i'm here. To ask questions from the best.

    Thanks.

n20 is your friend if done right. Just sell the msd stuff to buy headers. Keep stock stuff.

Now what about getting a reprogrammed pcm board? Will it be overkill since I have the programmer?

Your programer isn't a tuner. Get a tune

Now when you say tune..my mechanic should be able to do it...right? Now..your suggesting I shouldn't get the reprogrammed pcm? Yes..the mechanic has been in the business for almost thirty years...I would sure hope he knowshow to tune correctly. One more thing does anyone know the L36 max horsepower rated for? How not to blow my engine.
