good thing you checked the code and found the misfire!

sorry to hear the results after the install was not everything you were hoping for. When you get your tune, it should help out more...

Thanks, the code is gone now. I still have a slight leak at where the DP bolts to the resonator, I think it just needs a better gasket or something...

I just dealt with that leak. My flange was mangled, so the exhaust shop just cut off both flanges and welded the DP to the resonator.... That was on Thursday..

If you don't want to go that route, the GM gasket is a pretty stout gasket and only $6. (I would try that first )

I'll either do that or double up on gaskets to get it to seal. I think the flange on the header portion of the DP was slightly warped because IIRC it wouldn't sit flat on a table, it would wobble some... It's sealed everywhere except for at the top of the flange, that's where the leak is at. The angled spark plug non-fouler works realy well. I got the check engine code at first because the leak was pretty bad starting off and the o2 bung is RIGHT THERE by the leak, so it was seeing a lot of oxygen. Now that the leak is sealed up mostly it's off.

How hard is the rocker install compared to headers? Should be easier, no? I've already bought new plastic coolant elbows in anticipation of the current ones breaking, anything else I should get?

Got the leak fixed. I took the old gasket off and put on a better quality one. From the inside of the car while driving, it sounds like a mustang with some quieter flowmasters on it. I have a stock catback on.

I've got a P0053 code now, I suspect it's a bad wiring job on the rear o2 sensor. I couldn't get the factory one out of the old downpipe, so I bought a universal Bosc and had to splice the wires together. I'll take it back out soon and see if one of them came loose. They are held together by some funky twist-lock connectors that came with the o2 sensor. I think I'll switch over to a more conventional crimp instead.

I just moved as well this weekend, well, about 95% moved, but the worst part is done. Still in the same ZIP code, but actually in the city now in a nice, new, big house and I can actually get some high speed internet here too.
