Welcome to the community.
If you post up in the Tech Lounge there will probably be a few people that can help you out as I have seen a few threads regarding that. Might also check the Appearance area as Im sure there is one or two in there.
Welcome, as already stated post up in that section and someone will be glad to help you out.Glad to have ya aboard!!!!
post some pics of your ride if ya can
What kit do you have? How do you have it wired. If you haven't been banned yet, I have a HUGE HID thread over on clubgp, which was also started again here.
HID thread.
the brand is "gx" hid kit. i have figured out the problem-I THINK. what you're supposed to do is disable the DRL because it pulls too much of a draw at start up. so i will test it from there. i had it installed by a local stereo shop for warranty purposes. youre gonna laugh...THEY USED SPEAKER WIRE TO RUN WIRING!!! :/ BUT im gonna rewire it with correct 14 gauge wiring. its a good thing im a saab technician..i learn a thing or two. i will put some pics of my GP soon. right now its pretty stock...flowmaster cat back exhaust. k&n FIPK air intake. hid headlights. killer stereo. my next projects will be upgrading ignition. maybe new paint job for the heck of it. not gonna go too crazy with it...no supercharger
Most "local stereo shops" are a bunch of worthless hacks from what I've seen. I've spent too much time re-wiring ****ty audio and remote start installs to ever trust them.
During initial startup is when the ballasts draw the most current, but only for about 10 seconds. You might consider installing a relay power harness to supply the ballasts with power directly to the battery.
I have a wiring diagram on my web site below...
welcome, when having a stereo shop do anything make sure they are certified
