Hi everybody!
I have a 1993 Grand Prix LE 4drs, I am located in Colombia and there is not more that 5 of this cars in the whole country because there is not representation of Pontiac in Colombia, my car was riding great until one day I went to another town and after driving for 8 hours straight the car just stopped, every time I pushed the accelerator the car did not move in any gear... I went to the mechanic and the guy fixed it.
He changed two of the sensor of the transmission, and some other parts... that was last week, since then the car is changing gears automatically, meaning they fixed it right, but the car is not strong enough, if I am waiting for the traffic light to go green I pushed the accelerator half way and it does not move as it use to moves, it starts going up to 40 m/h (really slow) and even when I go all the way down with the accelerator it does not show much change, it goes really slow.
This morning my dad removed one of the thermostats that was not working, the one that allows water to run around the engine to refrigerate it, and the car was running fine... not as good as it use to be, but at least it was better than the previous days, we came back home after buying the new thermostat and after 3 hours I went back out riding my car for around 4 blocks but this time the car went really bad... the worst ride ever!
It turned off, I turned back on, keep riding for like 20 or 30 blocks and the max speed it got was like 45 or 50 m/h, and going up the bridges I had to crossed my finger to not have to stop in the middle of the way up to the bridge... otherwise I am sure it won´t climb a simple bridge....
I don´t know what to do, what to check in my car to get it fixed.... what should I do?
Please help me out guys!.... Thank you!
