Hello everyone!
I'm a reformed "truck guy", former Ford SuperDuty owner who drove 70 miles a day to work and back. Gas hit $4.00 and I borrowed a '98 GT from my father-in-law to cut the gas bill. It was his "work" car but he retired (from Buick Factory 36, the 3800 plant) and it was just sitting. The more I drove it the more I liked it to the point I figured there was no way my father-in-law would ever want to sell it to me. So coming home from work one day I seen a '02 GTP with a sunroof in it and picked it up. I kept driving the '98 GT to put the miles on that. Not two weeks later my father-in-law said he was getting rid of the GT and did I want it? So I bought that too.
Now I've got two of the sweetest cars GM made. I try to help GM out by picking up something new and when I compare anything new to what I already got there is not much improvement, at least in the fuel economy department. Then there is the servicing. Fuel pump went out in the GTP but thanks to the access cover in the truck it's a simple job. Every other vehicle I've had you have to drop the tank or pull the truck box.
Oh, and the SuperDuty? Sold that in March
