Hello Everyone. I just bought my first car (2005 Grand Prix, 3.8L) and want to learn all I can to take care of it. I figure that changing the oil is a good start. After crawling under and taking a good look around, I'm embarrased to say that I'm not really sure where the oil drain plug is located. I see the oil filter up under the front passenger tire, but can't identify the drain plug.
    Can anyone educate me?

Some of the newer oil pan's are aluminum. So i'm sure those are the ones that are in a different location. Maybe.

Well welcome, I just went out and looked at my car taking time out of my workout schedule for this. So a thanks is in order.

I have a 1998 GTP and it is closer to the front and on it's facing the rear though, shouldn't be that hard to locate though. Just look at the pan and look for a bolt... No offense

    Welcome btw.
