Hi all, I have a little experience with fixing cars just not much, hence this post. I have an oil leak in my 2006 Base Grand Prix. It looks like it’s coming from the rear of the engine, I had a thought about the oil pump O-Ring just going bad but I don’t know. Under the hood there doesn’t seem to be oil anywhere on top of the engine. Any help would be amazing. I just really don’t know what I’m looking for

below the power steering pump is a lime green collored roundish electrical connector that goes to the oil pressure sending unit.

unplug this connector and look for oil inside the connector/terminjals to confirm the sensor seal is blown.

this is far more common than many other leaks. and it happens often enough that i delete the sensor on my ****

I usually suggest that you deep clean everything first too. Get some degreaser, oven cleaner or whatever to break down all the grime and oil, wash it off and let it dry. Then get under the car to see where the leak is coming from.

If it's dripping out constantly then the above is a pretty good bet.
