Hey guys, I have a 2002 Grand Prix and my question is can I install a trailer hitch and use it to pull a small 4x8ft trailer for my dirt bike? Would this cause me any problems down the road? My bike is less than 250 pounds and the trailer weighs about the same. It’s one of those rinky dink folding trailers from harbor freight. Thanks for the input!

Should be fine, that's basically the weight of 2 fat people anyway.

I was just looking this up last night, the towing capacity is apparently 1000lbs if you just Google 2002 pontiac grand prix towing capacity it has multiple sights that will show you

My buddy had a 2001 GP SE with a hitch, and regularly towed his two bed steel snowmobile trailer and a 700CC Polaris and 1100CC arctic cat
Lack of planning on your part does NOT constitute an emergency on my part.

My 97 had one on it. Just keep the trans fluid changed if you are hauling regularly.

    Hidden hitch.

I tow several thousand pounds no problems hauling mulch, stone, camper, furniture, etc. I run a trans cooler to be safe.
04 GP GT- top swap, VS cam, 2.8 pulley, E85, headers, 60 injectors, TEP 3:29 trans, Racelogic Traction Control, ZZP dyno tuned.
