    Hello All,

3 months ago I purchased a 2000 Pontiac GP SE and am having trouble with starting it in cold weather. When its warm or mild out, it cranks up first try everytime, no issues. When it is cold out, dash shows "TEMP" light and does not crank or turnover just clicks once and when ignition is triggered. Has new battery and starter. Need help! I live in Michigan and need this car to run this winter!

    What he said ^^^

Cold Cranking Amps are key for winter starts. Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight.

Thanks for the insight guys, car started randomly yesterday at about 6pm est. it was about 11 degrees out. I drove it, then parked. Then drove it again at about 12am. Woke up to drive it this morning and no start. 8 degrees today. Battery connections look good and clean! Lights and radio and everything comes on, just wont turnover in cold for some reason...

if the click you hear is in the dash and the cluster blacks out like normal when key is turned to crank, thats the starter. new/rebuilt parts have been found to be doa in the box.
