I found a 40th anniversary edition 2002 Grand Prix GTP for sale for about $2000. It has 220,000 KM (136,700 miles), and here's what the owner claims it has:

    - Fully loaded
    - Rebuilt top end
    - Rebuilt transmission 3000 miles ago
    - New wheel bearings
    - New brakes
    - New tie rods and ball joints
    - Rad flush
    - Magnaflow Exhaust
    - K&N Intake
    - New plugs & wires
    - Aftermarket headlights and taillights
    - No rust on body

Says it needs tires and a repaint

Seems like an really low price for all it has on it, does it seem too good to be true?

These cars aren't worth what they used to be.

That is a good price for no rust, little bit wary of a rebuilt top end, and some trans rebuilds are total crap.

Look at it very closely, if it checks out as legit as the seller claims, then it would be a decent car for the amount wanted.

it does seem too good to be true. either there is still something wrong with it, or the body/paint is really bad. why would someone go through all the labor to rebuild the top end and the transmission if ultimately the car is going to be sold? I would be curious what he means by "rebuilt top end" as well. maybe he means he changed the gaskets for the upper and lower intake manifold, in which case, not a big deal.

Seems legit. It's worth about 2 grand. Despite what some gp lovers will tell you. If it checks out, go for it.

Repaint? That raises flags for me.

$2000 is cheap, but not that cheap. I've seen a few mint 40th's listed for $3-5000 over the past few years. Might be a good deal, but could be an anchor too.
