So I've been thinking about this for a while now and decided to stop being lazy. Took about an hour and a half and ended great!

Step one: Remove the lock studs (they twist out)

Step two: Use a dremel and cut it just where it starts to indent.

Step three: I used a 600 grit paper to get the roundness and then 1500-2000 grit to smooth it, then waxed to buff to a dull finish

Step four: REINSTALL THOSE! It has a little dimple at the top but it doesn't go all the way through

    Unlocked

    Locked

Does removing the spare count as weight reduction?

not a fan of that personally. I'd rather have chrome ones (to match the chrome vent rings if installed)

    nice little DIY mod regardless

I don't have the rings, because I'm not a fan of chrome. But I'm still thinking about getting don Rome aluminum ones

Because I am a douche, I hope that for some freak reason or another you need to quickly escape the vehicle but you have no power and you can't unlock the doors and the only way out is to lift the lock stud thingy.

    But wait, you can't.

But what if you like to live....... Dangerously

In alot of newer cars. the door automatically unlocks when the car is stoped, and you go to pop it open. No need to fiddle around with unlocking it
