3 in isn't bad if you have a lot of mods like headers, smaller pulley, cam and stuff like that

That's my plan for this summer. Went and looked up the video too. Says 3" dp, 3" to the y, 2.5" y back, 16" glasspack with no muffs or res. I've gotta imagine it drones quite a bit. Could I get away with running 3" to the y since my glasspack is 3" in 3" out and then going down to 2.5" for the y?

Use a kit from these guys. Its the easiest way to build your own kit. whatever reso, no reso, whatever mufflers, no mufflers. And whatever tips you want. Ive installed and used several of these to build exhaust systems for my Charger and GTP as well as my buddies Silverado, CTV-V and Subi.

yes you can do that but you'll need reducers 3" to 2.5". most auto parts stores have them.

Anybody know of a good alternative/place to buy Redback mufflers? They're an Australian company that makes kits for Holdens with 3800s (yes, our same exact engine) in them. By far the best sound I've ever heard a 3800 make. Problem is they're expensive AF to get shipped back here to the states.

There's a handful of other videos on YouTube with people running similar setups.

Matt270avian I just did some serious searching and pretty much came up with nothing lol. That is an excellent sounding l67 tho I will say that! Just put full 2.5 dynomax on mine and it sounds basically the same as It did before, slightly throatier. If I could get my hands on sine of this redback stuff that'd be cool. Anyway, good luck.

Yup, even a 3800 Camaro can be made to sound a bazillion times better than a gp.

Thats how you tune the "resonation" out correctly, not a dumb 3' round muffler.

Stainless works makes really nice round mufflers that you can get made to custom lengths . A bit expensive but, I love mine
