Yup! I didn't mention it in my post, but I sliced a finger with the razor knife too.
    Thanks for the response, Brandon!

Look up the part number from a 97+ regal.

Take the part number and either get it from a dealer or from a site like gmparts direct.

Cleaned my 04 gp gt1 the other day, found this under my floor mat and also damp carpet:

Also the car has smelled funny lately, so off to gpf.net. Went and got a cabin air filter and the $3 plenum water diverter and finally got it put in today. Here is a comparison of the old filter to the new one, kinda explains a lot:

Couple pics of the plenum in place:

Needless to say the air coming out of the vents already smells better. Feelsgoodman

Plenum Water Deflector (Water Leak Fix)

best way to do it w/ a single cowl. pop the screw on the pass side and the one in the middle and it can be bent easily

to break the plastic w/ a single cowl, score both sides (i ran both sides 5 times) than hit it w/ the pliers, easy peasy

only problem my plastic screws were rotted and wouldnt pop out so i broke one.

It is pretty easy to change; after the cowl cover is off you just pull out the old filter and insert the new one. Here is my write-up if you want to see some Canadian pics..... clicky clicky.
