Installed mine on my '04 GTP a few weeks ago and haven't had a drop of water since. Wish I would have know about this for my '99 GTP so I didn't have to dry out the floorboards every time it rained hard.
    Great info. Thanks.

Then you probably have a leak at the door. Weather strips are old, and it leaks in a similar place. You car is 12 years old, so that's not surprising.

Its my next thing to try. Its never consistent though. Sometimes it leaks, sometimes not. Water non the driver side, then on the passenger later.

thats your a/c drains or a leaking heater core. this fix is for pass side water only after it rains. or a car wash.

Neither, only does it after a rainstorm. Its pretty much rained here a good amount every day for the past 2 months. Its never a lot of water, no more than maybe half a glass.

Door seals are on my list to look at though.

My seals on the doors are tearing, and I have the piece in place to re-direct the water. I get some water when it's a particularly hard rain, on both sides. I pretty sure it's the seals, I just haven't gotten around to replacing them since I don't have any carpet anyway. I just throw a towel on the floor to pick up the water.

Well, installed mine today ($4.75 including tax from dealer) hoping it'll work. (2002 GTP Coupe). I've tried other fixes that didn't work like glueing factory strip, adding other foam strips under the cowling, nothing worked. Only variable I might have is that windshield was replaced about a year ago, and never had a leak before. I removed the under dash cover and tried to trace the leak and it looks like it's from the blower motor position but can't be sure. I'm hoping that is the only under-dash area water might be coming in. Definitely not the A/C - south florida it runs all the time, but only get water when it rains. Will post later when I get a downpour.

The deflector didn't work. I've been keeping a waterproof mat shoved up under the dash to funnel drippings into a bucket. After the rain squall last night, came out to find 3" of water in the bucket. I really don't know what to do now. It's definitely coming in from under the dash.

Are you absolutely sure that it's a deflector problem and not a weather strip problem on the door? I get a good amount of water on my driver's side after a downpour, and of course there's no deflector on the driver's side. My weather strip at the top of my door is torn, so I know that's where it comes in. I don't have carpet anymore, and my GP is my junker, so I just throw a towel down to absorb all the rain.

When it's not raining, close the doors and pour some water over where the deflector is installed. If you see water leaking in, then it's the deflector. If it's not, try pouring water around door, and see if it comes in.
