Alright everyone here is the write up youve all been patiently waiting for!
*First off i have to give credit to the people who gave me the start up idea for this. Would be Bio off of here and Houdini off of another GP forum. these two showed me how to cut, remove, and lights to use (Houdini).*

Ok now for the fun stuff!

    *Stuff you will need:
    Hammer
    Flat Head screwdriver
JB weld(i used the quik dry stuff)
    Silicone
Ceiling light lense(go to home depo or Lowes)
    Paper
    Sharpie
    Drill
Dremel with a REINFORCED cutting wheel(if you dont get this specific wheel it will break off and shoot everywhere and wont work!!)
    Safety Glasses
Lights(whether they be red bulbs or LEDs)
    5/8"s bolt(2) and 5/8"s washer(2) and 5/8"s nuts(2)
and last but not least PATIENCE lol

Ok so step 1, you got your stock tail, take it out and take the shroud on the top of it off w/ a phillips.

Step2) take your dremel and your safety glasses put on and cut around the back like i did here in this pic. Now the plastic will melt and u might have to re cut certain areas but you will know when u have to.

Step3)Once you have removed the backing from the Light, get your flat head ready and hammer. Youll want to break the red reflector in large pieces. So in order to do that, put your flathead in the middle and give it a few hits with the hammer, not too hard or youll hit the clear lense, but a few test whacks will let you know the strength youll need to use to break it.
    here is the backing removed:

Step4) After you have removed all the big pieces of Red reflector out of the lens, peice them together somewhere else. Your going to make a rough template of the red lens with paper
    here it is pieced together:

Here is the paper template, just put it on top of the red reflector and just make a rough trace w/a sharpie on paper

Step5)Take your rough paper trace template and put it over the ceiling light lense and trace w/sharpie and cut it out w/the dremel.

Step6) Test fit it on the backing to make sure it will fit and make the necessary trimming to make it fit(notice how it hangs too much on it at first.. that needs to be trimmed)

Step7)Test fit it on the actual clear lens of the tail and make sure it will slide in there. This material does break and crack. Dont worry, this first cut out will get broken, just tape it up and keep test fitting and trimming until it slides in and out perfect. after you get the perfect fit, take out your rough one and make a new lense using your trimmed and perfected one

Step8) Now after youve done that big mess, take the backing you have cut and trim and clean up all the edges that you cut and lightly sand the inside(if your going to paint) and prep it for paint.

Step9) Now take your newly painted and dried backings and take your washer and silicone and add a bead of silicone on the bulb hole and press the washer on and let dry

Step9)Now depending if you go w/LED trailer lights or bulbs you will or wont have to do this. if you go w/the LED trailer lights, first position the light so that the bold lies flat, mark it then the wires need to come out somewhere, and not through the bulb hole. So take your drill and drill a hole big enough for all three wires to go thru

Step10)I dont have pix of this step, but after youve marked the back of the Led with sharpie where the flat part of the bolt is gonna go, scuff it up and JB weld the bolt to the back of the LED. After this dries go ahead and put the LED into place and put the Nut on there and silicone any gaps

Step11) Almost done! after this step is done, just prep the backing and clear lens and JB Weld it and then follow it up with a bead of silicone. Connect your wires and test them and your done!
Now w/LEDs you will need a Resistor which i still havent gotten but all i have is hyperflash for now on mine.

*if you have any questions about a step or anything Let me know. This is my first write up so i might have missed something. Hope you like and Enjoy. i know i do!

PS ill have night pix posted possibly tommorow

I'm not sure if I would call these "clear lenses" as much as frosted lenses. Not a huge fan personally, but this isn't my car either. A for effort and creativity

I got Mine off eBay, they are a 32 LED semi tail light. They ran me about $35 or so. I know there is another site that sells a 15 LED light I believe but I'd have to find the link for it again.
