some have taken it out the top, you'll need to ratchet the engine forward to get it up that way.
being your sway needs to be changed out the bottom was a good route to go really. makes the bar change easy when the frame is lowered some.

Sway bar is in, that was easy.
Rear manifold i took out the top, put in the header from the bottom. Do not like the interference with the trans dip stick. It is more than touching, has anyone had an issue with this pushing on the header? Getting the front header on to the cross over took a lot of muscle. Everything is bolted up but i have yet to clamp down the band clamps. The rear cross over clamp is not going to be fun to tighten, there is no room at all. The down pipe looks funny hanging low but i am not lowering the car so i should be okay.
Putting the trans dip stick mounting bolt back in was a job and a half, the header pipe is right on top of it.
i dont really see the dip stick touching to be a big deal really. its not gonna bounce on it. if you like i pushed my fingers between em, then gave the pipe a little bend and it was right next to it.
i set my lower band clamp up so its bolts were top side turned and lifted away from the fire wall tunnel area, its got like a inch or so of free room, its never hit, or my brake lines would be trashed by now, cause thats whats next to it. you can reach down from the pass rear of the engine to the clamp this way. extension's help of course.
i put my cross over on first, then the front header to the cross over but with it pointed up, then turned it down to the head. worked for me 2 times now.
