^ Where did you get the plastic your using. I haven't been able to find coloured DVD cases everywhere and Im not happy with the colour of blue that I currently have.
i couldnt find any colored DVD cases either so i just went to office max and found a transparent blue folder since im doing blue. Cost me like 50 cents for the folder. I'm not sure how well it will work quite yet as im not finished, but i will be done in the morning sometime. will post pictures when im done
i honestly didn't see that much of a difference between the led's and the stock bulbs aside from the fact that the bulbs gave out more light. however, everything looked a nasty shade of yellow. hoping to fix that with better, more powerful, less directional led's. i also just used somewhat transparent folder, and it's not really the color i want so that could have something to do with it as well
how about a blob of black RTV on the tip of the led instead of paint?
post finished pics guys
just finished mine a little bit ago, looks awesome and will post some pics as soon as i get my dash back together, bout an hour or so. I just plugged it in real quick before going to lunch to make sure it worked.
EDIT: okay, so apparently im a dumbass and cant figure out how to get pics to upload....upload fails every time as an attachment, and the image link is broken anytime i try to link it from photobucket.

thanks kej, dont know why i couldnt get them to upload. my camera kinda sucks as well as the sun shining directly in the back window...but it turned out EXACTLY as i wanted it. great write up. BTW, those LCD leads were a total BIATCH to get soldered back together. lol
Im hoping its just the stock bulbs, but mine has come out like a greenish colour that Im not exactly happy with. I kinda tried removing the bulbs, but didnt want to snap anything, do you need to cut anything, or do the just pull out/twist out.
