    i have an 01 gt

i am trying to install a Airaid throttle body spacer. i got the the throttle body off, but when i was taking out the studs that hold the throttle body, the one on the top sheered on the end, so i cant get the stud out. The only thing that i can think to do is just use a vice grip to get it out. any better ideas?

Yeah, great idea. Throw the spacer in the garbage unless your drilling and tapping it for a shark nozzle.

Shut up noob. Not only is it a useless mod, it's also a unnecessary danger since it blocks the coolant flow to the TB.

Which he got help with. However he also brought up the subject of the TB spacer in general, and should be made aware of how useless it is and the fact that it has also caused problems on multiple reputable people's vehicles during the winter time who live in an area that gets cold enough for temperature to effect it.

I live in CT. TB was blocked off from coolant long before going N* and the N* doesn't have coolant in it either. Dunno who has had issues. I've never even heard of Canadians with problems after blocking.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I leave for work at 5am. Some leave earlier. It was was an issue, the engine would need to be up to temp long enough for the TB to gain temperature.

Isnt the only purpose so the valve doesnt stick? If your TB is looked after then it really shouldnt be an issue.

IIRC, doesn't the Airaid spacer have coolant ports?

For everyone elses info... If your going to block off the coolant passages to the tb, it helps to open up the coolant passage in the LIM located under the EGR/LIM. You can do this by taking off the plate and drilling or notching out another 1/4" to the passageway. This is to make up for the coolant that was supposed to be going to the rear head but is now blocked at the tb/lim.

I think its for condensation/frost buildup wile driving? keeping the tb warm,
sticking throttle blade? It could also be emissions related too
