    Here's some pics of what I used to get the vents out. I searched around and couldn't find much except "break the old ones." A small screwdriver kept the tabs from going back in.



    I completely and meticulously planned and measured the bend to match the length of the tab exactly. (Lol, yeah right.)
    The bend on the other end helped with grip, actually.



    Well, the idea's pretty clear. It took me a bit to figure out that I didn't need to remove the glove box or dash. I tend to overthink, lol.

    I have always use the nylon pry bar/fastener removers and haven't had any broken tabs or vents.

    I'd have to agree with Javi since he's the one the sent me the chrome set. No tabs broken.

    My gf also mentioned a knitting bobby ..hook? Some kind of knitting thing mighta worked too anyway, lol. I just couldn't bring myself to say that my CompG was literally sewn together.
