I've had a set of telescoping Bi-Xenon on my jeep for over a year now and have had no problems... They were an inexpensive set off of ebay and work great. When I flip the high beams on it is like daylight. The key to having them work correctly is removing the factory reflector. My kit had bulbs with a built on reflector and I had no clearance issues. Another important thing is to make sure you have a good ground connection, otherwise they will flicker, which after a period of time can cause failure. My total cost shipped was only $120
Are there any conclusions on what people are getting? I think I got a headache reading this whole thread. I am new to HID. I have a 2001, would like to get a 5000k 9007 bulb and would like to get the HID 880 bulb for my Fogs. Now I see three sellers, what is the better one, the one on ebay looks decent. Are these plug n play? I am a beginner, so I know nothing about wiring harnesses. Will I be able to use these as running lights during the day? I understand that I will not have brights, but I rarely use brights, and these will be better and brighter than brights, I don't see a problem. If it is, I will have to deal with these. I hope I did not confuse myself, or other on here.
Thanks
the cheap bulbs on ebay (what i have) IS in fact plug and play. they suck compared to the real kits...(comes with harness's ftw). i just wanted 'em for the color purple. erm our year models are diff. so the daytime running lamp i cannot answer for you, i always cut mine to ride around on park lamps... (look better on my model)
I love my ebay kit on my jeep. You can have hi beams you just need to get the telescoping bulbs and remove the factory reflector inside. If you get the telescoping buls they have a reflector built in. Mine work great and I have had no problems with them... Had them for over a year now...
ok so i have a 98 gt.since the same bulb is used for the high and low beam(i think thats what i got out of this forvever long post) what would i need.Is that what the bi xexons are?? im interested in buying but not sure which kit to buy
I have 4300k's in my Land Rover, cheapest ones I can find on Ebay too. And in no way do they suck. I have, on more than one occasion completley submerged the hot ballasts and the bulbs for an extended period of time without problem.
With my experience on HID's I will soon be replacing all the halogens from the six Hella's I have over to 3000k HID's.
i'm in for the group buy if you guys getting ready to. that's funny i bought 2 set of hid kits from the same company @ ebay. mine still work fine, but the one on my father's gtp, the ballast burnt out.
Are these the same as what ur trying to sell?
eBay Motors: 99-03 GRAND AM/GRAND PRIX 8000K 9007 HID CONVERSION KIT (item 220311518042 end time Nov-22-08 23:26:10 PST)
If not please let me know what the difference is im looking to get a blue color temp so when people look at them they look blue. Also they got an arctic ice look to them front the seat looking out...Let me know now.
Thanks
Is there still a group buy going on im looking to get fogs
im ready to buy i have an 07 gt and desperately want HID lights all four so let me kno if i can get the same deal or if there are lights for my car as well. as soon as i kno there are, i will buy
Okay, I can see my post but apparently no one else can, or they're just ignoring it... You CAN have low AND high beams... Just buy the telescoping Bi-Xenon Kit for you bulb type.... The kit is COMPLETELY plug and play.... It is on Ebay, it works fine, and you won't have to swap any bulbs out for inspection or anything... It only costs $30-$40 more and you will have a non rigged, durable, correctly working HID kit.....
So has anyone actually put the telescoping bi-xenon kit in there gp yet? Very interested in how it turns out.
how long does this last? I'm extremely interested...but I cant get it til July.
