Sounds about right.
I know my car after long drive periods, it will always stay right at coolant temp, so 195-205.
04+ cars always seem to run hotter for some reason. Buying a trans cooler can greatly decrease the temps.
Just to note, any temp above 215-220ish reduces the trans fluid life by alot more than you think. Prolly 10-15k miles.
If you plan on keeping the car for a long time, definitely run an efficient double stack cooler (the biggest one you can fit in the grille) or better yet do like I do and run the cooler (S) outside of the radiator-I use dual 18,000 GVW Long double stack coolers. Temp runs about 145 on a 90 degree day-anything over 190 will kill the transmission prematurely! I have zero issues in the extreme cold as well-Just takes the tranny a little longer for the fluid to get hot enough before shifting into 4th (above 88 degrees fluid temp).
