Heated seats + Burning Smell?

I have an 04 GTP with the heated leather seats. Last week on one of our real cold days I had them on and noticed a very faint burning smell. It goes away after about a minute or so and I dont smell it again. I could smell it 3 days in a row so I decided one morning I would not turn the seats on and sure enoph no smell.

Is there anything I can check or maybe replace that could be burning out in the seats itself or is this normal? I dont notice it if the pass seat is on, just the drivers seat. The seat is very hot and feels great in the cold.

Does it smell like burning plastic or paper? There may be a goofy connection, or one of the heating coils is against something that it shouldn't.

Yup, Pontiac heated seats rock. It's def. your ass burning.

mine dont even work at the time being. think something is shorted out under the seat. the fuse is still good...
