My temp gauge doesn't work correctly I guess like most of these cars so I hooked up my scanner ( torque ) and while idling it shows the car temp in Celsius is getting up to 100 C which is like 212 F, shouldn't my fans be turning on by then ?

If there suppose to what could be the problem ?

212 and 226 are the temps.

But it likely wants to see 213-214 befor turning the low speed fan on.

Well.. I did some more research and I guess GM fans don't come on until around 225F ? Isnt that too hot ? Ive read people put 160 thermostats in ?
