Im having an issue hooking up my throttle cable to my Northstar TB, it seems the cable is a bit short. Are there any modifications that need to be done to the lever that im missing, or should I get a Northstar throttle cable as well? This seems to be a popular mod but I seem to be missing something obvious here and im not sure what.

its not too short, you just have to use your muscles to put it in. the barrel at the end of the cable is kind of a pain to get in the slot on the throttle body

Cable: N* had a ball at the end of the TB cable. I take that area where the ball would sit and use a 1/4" drill bit to open it up in order to sneak our cylinder piece into the N* area. Visible on the lower left side of this picture

For the bracket, I use the N* bracket and make some modifications to it. Also in the above picture, you can see that I slotted the bracket where it bolts to the side of the TB and cut a second bolt hole area off. You end up bending the top of the bracket down on the front of it in order to bring both cables closer, then cut the bracket between the two cables in order to move the cruise closer (IIRC) to the TB.

    Hope that helps out.

When did we stop calling that piece at the end of the cable a "hot dog"?

Instead of drilling mine I just tweaked the throttle cable bracket. Quicker, easier, more precise.
