i have a new build right now would i be better off to spray through the blower (not sure if it will strip the coating. gen v) or do one nozzel for each intake port?
thanks
chris
i have my blower tapped so im running the lines after my throttle body. is there a solenoid you guys recommend to people who buy your kits? i know they are pretty much all the same when you get down to it, but i was just wondering.
i am starting with an M5 nozzle probably with a 50/50 blend with meth/water and am going to be starting with a 3.2 on a rocker/header setup as well as e85. would you recommend me doing anything differently?
You can spray thur the blower no problems.
With stripping off the teflon, its debatable. My own personal car i still have all the teflon on the rotters. Dvldoc who has ran just as much thur his car they are cleaned off. Just like its no problem finding someone who never ran meth or nitrous and there rotors are clean. IMO it just happens to some and not to others.
DevilsOwn Injection is the solenoid we sell. I recommend running our check valve. Its cheaper and works without any problems. Reason why thats what we supply with all kits. Sounds like you got it all setup for what you need.
What would need to be done tuning wise to run your kit? Thanks
how does the check valve not let meth just seep through the system? it is only a one way valve that youre supposed to put after the pump so it doesnt back up into the pump, correct? it does not restrict the other way, unless im thinking of it wrong.
Depends on what you go for nozzle sizes. If you run a DO3 nozzle its going to all evaporate before it hits the cylinders. This is what makes the cooler intake air charge.
Something like this your not going to need to change anything.
When you start running larger nozzles like a DO5 you might need to pull a slight amount of fuel to get your o2 back where they need to be.

Check valves are a 1 way valve. Evey check valve has a spring in it that does not let fluid flow thur it at ALL till pressure is above the spring pressure. this is commonly referred to as crack pressure. The key to this is it has to have a min of 15psi of crack so it can handle 30inch of vaccum that a car presents at an idle and not open.
which check valve are we talking about here? i have two of them. one is a metal one with an arrow on it and another is a small black plastic bulb one. do i use both of them or just one? which one of those is the pressure valve and which one is just the straight up one way valve?
also, have you ever tried dumping e85 into the tank instead of a methanol mix? it's just ethanol with a little bit of gas in it, so im fairly sure it wouldnt be a problem. im pretty close to finishing up my setup.
Sounds like you have the older one we first usta sell 2-3 years ago. The nickel plated brass is just a newer more durable version. You only want 1 in the system. But the insides of each do work the same and both are check valves.
E85 if very bad for these. E85 contains 15% gasline in it, which will destory the seals. You can run E100 or M100 (methanol) for alcohol injection, most people mix them down to 50/50 with distilled water.
i wasnt sure that the gas would harm anything, but i guess it will. thanks for the info.
TDC, you may want to check out truck stops. i believe reptile said he was buying his from truck stops and mixing it on his own.
Devilsown, have you had the chance or are aware of your controller’s labeling for the turn on(dunno about the max psi) is off from what our cars boost/map is at? For example, I would set the controller to start spraying at 4psi on the controller but once my LS1M sees ~4psi the controller doesn’t come on but until ~5PSI. what I mean is my controller is +1psi off. Another example is if I want to start spraying at 6psi, I would have to set the controller turn on point at 7psi. I don’t know if there’s a difference on the max psi knob, but I just wanted to let you guys know. Other than that, my old kit’s still working and I just got your M7 nozzle in the mail so I can swap the smaller nozzle out.
I actully just got my kit installed this weekend finally, check out my thread: http://www.grandprixforums.net/f73/d...tion-9869.html , I won't be able to get the rest of my car put back together until next weekend.
I'm running a DO5, I see you mentioned that with this nozzle you many need to take away fuel. How much richer should it make me? Also, what AFR should I aim for on Alky? I hope to run a 50/50 mix.
Anybody know where I can get pure methonal locally? Also, when mixing with water, should it be with distilled water or something else? I've been told it don't matter, but i'd like to know for sure. I figure it'll be cheaper to buy in bulk and mix my own brew.
Thats all I got for now.....
iron indian, im just using a gallon of the -20*F washer fluid, which i recall is a 30/70 mixture of methyl alcohol/water along with a bottle of HEET that also has straight 99.9% methyl alcohol(not iso-heet). i dunno what the mixture is of adding a bottle of heet to a 30/70 mixture of washer fluid. anybody know? lol
How many ounces is the bottle of HEET?
12oz
Wich heat did you use? The one for the gas? Or the one for the Winsheild. The bothe are called ''HEAT''
"HEET" thats used to prevent fuel lines from freezing

Cool,
Chance I have a question. Looking to buy one soon and would like to do all the work to the blower now while it's off.
I need to know what size hole I should drill and what I should tap it to.
Are all the different size nozzle's the same size npt fitting?
