Hi, I have an 02 grand prix gt. My girlfriend and I took a road trip to the rochester zoo yesterday. After we got off of the thruway, my car was shifting really hard. So, I shut off my car, walked around the zoo and it was gone. So we drove back home, and got off of the thruway and it was back. It seems like if I drive the car for a while, it starts shifting really hard. Any ideas? I've been reading up on a pressure control selonoid

So sounds like once the fluid gets hot it's shift hard. How many miles, when was the last time you checked your fluid?

1811 and most trans codes don't set a light. And they reset with ignition cycle.

When I had 1811-itis, it tripped the CEL within a few minutes of driving.
