Other than the designed K&N intake for a 2002 grand prix is there another intake that k&n offer that would fit the 2002 grand prix? I am asking because that intake is a bit outdated and especially with the newer blackhawk intakes I have been interested in. I wanted to at least use the oil free black hawk filter on their 97-03 grand prix intake but it seems the filter is a different sized diameter. Anyone have any suggestions on this either mixing the blackhawk filter with that intake or another K&N intake that would work preferably a blackhawk intake or maybe another brand entirely??

Cut up some 4" PVC piping with the appropriate bends, and a coupler to mate it to the TB, then stick your K&N at the other end of it. Cheap, and will work just as well as any other intake out there.

Or you could get this, which is what I have on my car but o paid like $24 for mine. It works great and looks better than a pvc pipe with a filter on it.

Gutting your stock box and using a K&N drop in is another viable alternative. You have an '02 so you have the good box already, and only costs what the filter runs you plus some time gutting the box.

It's a lot of wheel horsepower, and a major cash investment camopaint, worthy of a new thread. Not to mention the difficulty of installation, best to make the right choice the 1st time and not have to redo such a labor intensive task.

Forget all that intake system business, just put a cone filter right on the throttle body and enjoy the extra space in the engine bay.
