You dont have to make one, they sell them. I know summit racing has them and Ive seen them in the auto parts stores before.
JEGS 80522 - JEGS Air Hold Fitting Set - JEGS
Ok I found these on jegs.com. Took a little searching..
there ya go, you're all set now..
Be sure the fitting has a long neck on it. I ran into this problem when I was going to replace my valve springs. The ones in the local part stores were too short and wouldn't thread into the heads. I ended up borrowing a compression test kit and it has the right fitting for me. Beware of this, short and stubby won't work. I tried 3 different kinds until I got the right one.
Wish I had a PN or something to give you. Before tearing down your car, make sure you pop out a plug and make sure it works correctly.
Good luck....
BTW, that Jegs kit SHOULD work, the one on the right (the long skinny one) should work well for you. I beleive thats the same style I used for my motor. Just install a air nipple quick connect w/ thread sealer, antiseeze the threads going into the head, and stick in. Leave the compressor on when doing this procedure.
BTW, if you end up buying that Jegs kit, LMK if the is indeed the correct fitting. I'd love to have one of my own for my tool box...
Jegs kit will be here tomorrow. I also just got a valve spring compressor from snap on. I will try the fitting right away and tell ya if it works.
The jegs kit did work. The long and skinny one was the one I used.
