Alright so for about a year and a half now I have had the AEM E85 320lph fuel pump installed on my E85 DD. Literally this car is daily driven and goes on long road trips all the time. Easily puts on 15,000 miles a year. Hasn't had gasoline in it for over 2.5 years now. ZZP sells the pump for around 100$ if I remember right. I just wanted to post a little review here for anyone else considering it. I pulled it out a week ago to check on it.

    Install:
Install wasn't half bad in a non venturi pump canister. It comes with a bunch of generic install bits that are completely useless for our cars but still is a nice gesture. I modified to stock pumps rubber sealing grommet to fit the aem pump and also filed down a few plastic protrusions on the bottom of the pump. It seats great into the stock filter sock setup afterwards. For a fuel hose im using the top of the line gates in tank fuel hose. Hasn't swelled in the year and a half worth of e85 that I put it through. To prevent it from kinking I "Ribbed" the hose with about 8 hose clamps. It sounds goofy but the hose wasn't kinked at all after the year and a half it was in there. I double clamped both ends of the hose with fuel injection grade hose clamps (Technically OEM 2006 subaru wrx fuel filter clamps =D ) and again have had no issues with them even wiggling. As far as wiring goes I used two heat shrink butt splice connectors and a 2nd layer of heat shrink tubing. Both were purchased at walmart and both are holding up beautifully. To secure everything I used regular white zip ties. Other then turning brown the zip ties are still flexible and holding strong without getting brittle. Also using a racetronics rewire. I have used both a casper and a racetronics rewire... the racetronics one is WAYYYY higher quality.

    Performance:
I had to completely retune my maf tables. This is most likely from me butchering them to compensate for the old pump. Still something to keep in mind because I was literally running so rich that my car was misfiring at wot. Currently running a 2.55" intercooled, rockered, genV, headers, e85 setup with no problem. Even dynoed 330whp with the stock cam. Adecker also successfully made 450whp and is still pushing higher with the same pump on his turbo setup. It should be plenty for everything but absurd builds. As far as being able to empty the tank goes it will easily draw the tank down to a gallon left or less. At about 1/8th of a tank it tends to fuel starve around aggressive corners or on long WOT pulls. On the empty line you run the risk of sucking air and the pump losing its prime and leaving you sitting for 10+ minutes while it trickle re-primes itself so you can start the car again. If you drive like a grandma though it WILL empty the tank almost completely. This is probably more due to how I installed it into the housing then anything but still. The antidrainback valve works quite well. It will slowly let pressure bleed off over the course of an hour or so but will not let air into the lines once the pressure is gone. This is great because restarting the car is always almost instant and is identical to stock even after sitting for a week (Vacation to Aruba wooo). As far as noise goes it is very similar to stock. Although I have heard some stock pumps that were much louder I have not herd any stock pumps that were much quieter.

Conclusion: So far it has worked flawlessly. Install is just as easy as any other pump. I have put 15+ thousand miles on it with no issues related to the pump itself (I melted the wiring bulkhead on a canister with a faulty casper pump rewire) If you want a fuel pump that is built a little more robust then the standard gasoline rated pumps I highly recommend it.

This is just after I got the replacement engine put in. Only had a short stack at the time but same setup otherwise. I guess I also had the 2.8" pulley on it to "Be nice" to the new engine for a bit . Its dirty but she scoots.
