So even with upgraded hockey puck motor mounts my engine still has quite a bit of movement on the passenger size and I want to firm it up.

I should be able to just grab the dog bones and radiator side mounts and bolt/weld them on to the radiator support.... Right? I have both engine side mounts bc I am running grand prix cast iron bracket and i just have the other one because I'm a 3800 parts whore.

I don't see why you couldn't but I'd recommend a little extra sheet metal on the rad support though as it wasn't designed to see any engine torque.

Probably a good idea.. I'll have to look at it a little closer after work tonight to see how weak/strong it looks.

How much motion you getting? Hockey puck is solid mount. The flex you see is the cradle to the frame mounts.

I know, but I don't want to deal with making/buying a solid or solidish mount for those places. I want to just add one dog bone on the passenger side because thats where the engine is still flexing.

I'm guessing the flex is coming from the two mounts that look similar to the main motor mount on each side of the car, going from the trans to the body in the wheel wells.

Can't you swap in a Regal/GP radiator support as well?

I've seen this on bonneville club. Its an awesome mount, but I was too cheap and my hockey puck one has basically no vibrations because there are 2 kinds of hockey pucks, 2 hard ones for ice on the outside sandwhiching a soft street puck in the middle :-)

I suppose thats a possibility but thats a lot more structural welding than I feel comfortable with...

I've seen a dog bone added to a bonneville with hockey puck mount. No welding was done.

Man was I wrong, cheaper to buy mounts.

I am wondering, in the 10 years and 4 SSEi's I've had I've never replaced anything but the front lower mount.

Hm. Might still be something I'll try and tackle. We'll see. My car already looks like a POS but its mechanically sound and moves good so I don't care. So it won't bother me if mine doesn't look factory clean. :-P
