Turn car on pump is on and under car everything looks fine. Start the car Gas is pouring off the top of the tank passenger side on to the exhaust pipe. I mean a flood. Open fuel pump access panel all connections look fine start it no leaks from pump connections, look under car, it is leaking like a hell again. definitely gas. a little is running off just in front of rear sway bar. car sits for two days I drop the tank it looks fine so do all hoses and connections and there is nothing on that side to leak. I can't get car to start with tank dropped tank it is supported by a jack and something is keeping from dropping all the way out. And car will not start with tank on this angle. All this started when a truck blew a tire and it went under car and ripped out fuel line, I had to buy a quick connector patch kit, it worked fine for one or two tanks of gas. Now this 1997 grand prix N/A ram air, 325,000 mile ran great till this

Thanks guys, did I stump the experts here? LOL I hope not

Follow the wet spot. Is your repair solid? Is the fuel pump lock ring on properly? Is there a crack in the tank?

Best guess would be cracked return line if it doesn't do it on prime but does it once running.

Well it's been sitting for two days so no wet spot, never thought of the return line, but why would it suddenly blow?

I always have gone to the junkyard and found a car with lines in good shape. Then you have the exact length you need and the bends are already there. And most junkyards only charge a few bucks for them.

Logan...at 246K, I suddenly cracked a flex plate. It's the original L67 flex, on the replacement L26 (NA) and ... somehow it cracked. I doubt it was the NA power.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
