OK so I know I've asked a lot about headers. But I just wanna get this right. I'm buying Sd headers for my 03 with 06 SC engine swap. So I need to buy RTV with the headers. Double wall flex pipe. O2 extention. And what else. Maybe better clamps? Don't want any sealing issues

Please see the How to thread about installing headers. Search my name and "ea sy" without the space.

I have never used RTV and would hate to clean it if you ever pull them off again. FrozenBoost has the clamps for cheap. 2 x 3.00" and 2 x 2.25" IIRC. I'd swap the flex as well.. if you want to remove the drain trap, somewhere I posted pics of a jig that can be used to cut/reweld them.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

It's been a couple years since I installed my SD headers, and the flex section is still in good condition.

I would still get the ez-seal band clamps for the crossover pipe, the crossover just doesn't seem to fit very well. I didn't find myself needing to use band clamps anywhere else.

    02 extension was definitely necessary.

As for the RTV, I just put it on because these forums suggested it. I don't know if it's really necessary.

    Good luck!

Just did my SD header install about two weeks ago. No RTV, no leaks (once I remembered to tighten the EGR tube). Ordered the O2 extension from ZZP and band clamps from jegs. Clean and simple. The jegs brand band clamps are actually marked torctite. $8.99 a piece, free shipping. Besides hammering the firewall for O2 sensor clearance and trimming the crossover for fit, it actually went okay.
