I finally got around to replacing my compressor since my AC was not working too well and I had before replaced it with a used unit that never seemed to get the air cool enough. I am getting about 50 degree temps out the vent in about 91 degree weather which seems good but sometimes doesn't seem like it is cold enough.
As well anyone know the correct pressure on the high and low side for this car? I check everywhere and manuals seem to say about 43 on the low but some crazy number like 320 for the high and I never see the high get that high, only about 150 to 200 psi.
I am wondering if an adjustable orifice tube would help here or maybe I overfilled it or something. I put in about 2LBs of R134a and the thing on the strut tower says it takes 1.86LB. I tried to add a little last night to see if the pressure would get higher since I cannot find anything saying what it should actually be that makes sense, but it only went up to about 45-47 on the low side and maybe 170 on the high.
I did run a vaccum on it but using a compressor one so I would have to run it then stop then run it then stop since it would drop below 28 inches of vaccum after a while.
