Just got my front end all back together and turned my headlights on to check them and noticed that when turn the high beams on the lows stay on with the high beams. Every other vehicle I have owned the lows would go off when the highs are on. Are they supposed to do that? Just making sure it's not wiring. Cause some of the wires was mashed behind the bumper from the wreck. Everything thing looked good when I reassembled the front end.

    This...

You don't want your low beams to turn off anytime you need to hit the high beams now.

Ok cool. I thought so but wanted to make sure. My truck originally doesn't do that but I added a relay to where the lows stay on. This Grand Prix is the first one I have seen that does it without a relay kit.

You haven't paid much attention to other cars on the road then. Hell my 86 Mustang had the lows stay on with the highs.

Well it's not something I particularly look for. All the gm's I have owned never has done it.

Well GM does/did a lot of stuff that doesn't make any sense.
