Well this is the first time I'll have to replace the sub frame on one of these cars. Any body got a write up on subframe replacement? I don't have a lift but got a shop, cherry picker, and plenty of jacks and jack stands. Hopefully I can do this in a day. Any info would be great appreciated. Yeah my old frame must be tweaked pretty good cause the passengers cv axle is rubbing it and the trans pan is sitting down a couple inches below it. Also the top dog bones are crooked as hell from where the motor is sitting over to far. Damn weak aluminum. I have already had it on a frame rack the hood and bumper line up decent. I just hope my new subframe will line up and bolt up fine. I had to replace every single mount, top and bottoms. Impact broke all of them.

Idk if this is the best way to do it, but this is how I would do it.
Brace engine from top, like in the picture scotty showed you.
Unbolt the engine and trans mounts from the subframe
Unbolt steering rack from subframe or you can unhook the power steering lines from the pump and dump ps fluid everywhere and have to futz with hooking up the steering linkage.
Unbolt lower control arms from subframe
    Remove 4 subframe bolts

I don't remember all the bolt sizes but I know the subframe bolts are 18mm

Follow this to pull the subframe only.

Unbolt motor and trans mounts, pop ball joints, unbolt steering rack, unhook any ps cooler lines from subframe, and check no electrical or other lines are hooked to it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
