Backinblackgp.com has a way, I used it. You replace the photocell in the middle of the dash, next to the security light. With a 470 ohm resister.

and that shuts the automatic headlights off? cause everything i read on that page says that works on all up to a certain year...cause mine just chimes if i take the fuse out...even with the heat sink unplugged
Pulling the heat sink will disable the drls, and the resister disables the auto head lights, at least that's the set up I have on my 02 GTP

On my car, which is a 2000 GTP, all I did was pull the DRL fuse and it disabled both the DRLs and the Auto In feature. I've heard that some will still chime, mine didnt, haven't had any probs.
Radio shack or maybe a small hobby store

1 more question i found them but which one do i buy? there is a 3 different ones......one is a 470 ohm 1/2W 5% Carbon Film Resistor pk/5.....and a 1K Ohm 1/4-Watt Carbon Film Resistor (5-Pack)....and 470 ohm 1/4W 5% Carbon Film Resistor pk/5...
That will work.
Not really, you just need a certain resistance to mimic daytime.
What year do you have?
And get the photocell and measure the resistance when in the dark and that's the resistance you need in place of the resistor. I don't know why the one you used didn't work.
Did u pull the heat sink for the drl's?
