Its been quite some time since I've been on this forum. I ended up getting an MK3 Jetta and have been driving that while my family drives the GTP. Recently we ran into an issue with the blower motor that stopped working. Now I haven't been driving it but my family explains that over the past few months the blower speed has been intermittent and recently stopped working all together. Now as I've replaced the blower motor resistor twice I figured I know exaclty what was going on. I bought a new one and installed it but found that it didn't fix anything. I also noticed that the blower didn't work at all on any speed which never happened before. I searched and found some individuals that explained the top setting was actually on a different fuse so I went and checked all the fuses under the dash that I could find that related to the blower motor and the hi hvac fuse was burnt, I figured score I'd found the problem. Still after changing this the blower did not work at all. I bought a new bower motor for it and hooked it up but still nothing worked. Hooked the old blower up to a car battery and it turned on but it has quite a bit more resistance than the new one so I figured its probably no good anyways. I did buy the plastic piece that goes under the cowl so this won't be an issue anymore. I'm going to get under there and double check all my wiring and pull the resistor again, I just don't want to wedge myself under there again unless I have a few other ideas to check while I'm there.
