ive already got a 3" down pipe and was thinking about getting a plog to go with it. is there any noticable difference between headers or running a down pipe with a plog? ive seen threads on this before but none realy compairing the two set ups.

There are a few threads on this topic. Honestly, headers are the better way to go, but there's nothing wrong with plog and dp setups. Headers still offer better flow though. More of a preference. Considering you already have a dp I'd just go with a plog. Just my opinion though.

I'd go with headers, a little bit harder install but a ton better flow, and you could probably sell your DP for almost half the price of headers, speed daddys generally run like 200 ish on ebay.

For the money you'd put into a downpipe and plog setup you could buy some sd headers and call it a day. If you already have a downpipe you could probably sell it and buy some headers and be in it just as much as you would have with the downpipe and plog setup. Ebay is great for finding sd headers or you can always keep an eye out in the for sale section here for some deals. Just my $.02

are you planning on modding the car further? The gains on something like this on a stock car with a downpipe between headers and a powerlog is very minimal. The gains on a car with heads and a cam between a plog and headers is very decent.
