I have a 2006 grand prix gxp v8 73,000. While driving the engine light and oil pressure light came on at the same time. I stopped checked the oil it was two quarts low, I added the oil and checked the codes, I then erased them, haven't driven it since.
They read PO521 and po522. My question is it safe to drive? Is that just the sensor that reads the oil level or is the pressure really low? Trying to get a little more info before I drive it to work.

i just searched your codes, all seems to leads to the oil pressure sensor being bad.
worst case you really do have low oil pressure. and well thats not good. id rent a pressure tester, and buy a new sensor, check your oil psi, if you got 20 psi or more at idle with a warmed up engine your good to go. cold start could be as high as 50 psi.
anything under 20 psi, you got a real problem.

You won't need that take out the oil pressure sensor. Located to the left of the throttle body and take a flashlight and look down the hole sometimes the little mesh filter gets clogged take it out and clean it with brake ccleaner and re install. If you still have issues just replace the sensor. The car will still drive fine. And if you question the actual pressure just rent a scanner and you can view it in the live parameters
