So I am seriously thinking of converting my car to E85. I was originally thinking of getting a Devil's Own Meth kit and calling it a day, but the whole E85 thing won't leave the back of my mind. Here are some pro's and con's for me.. Let me know what you think and if I should just say f*ck it and do it LOL
Pro's:
My car is no longer my daily driver as I have another vehicle (mainly drive it for pleasure)
My car is already E85 ready as it has all the hi-flow fueling needs from the pump to the injectors (would just need a retune - thanks in advance Nick)
I would make a sh*t ton more power being able to drop a pully size or two and run lots more timing (currently on a 3.0 at 15* timing with mid-11's AFR)
I could get a couple 5 gallon gas cans to help compensate for the long commute to fill up
The E85 station closest to me is a straight shot on the highway (I live 3 miles from the highway)
I would skip the meth kit
E85 is much cheaper than 93...
The station is about a 20-25 min drive from where I work, so I can always go to fill up after work when needed.
Cons:
The station closest to me is about a 30 to 40 min commute from my house each way depending on traffic
My car would burn more fuel hence needing to fill up more often depending on how much I drive it (and get on it).
I would rack up more mileage on the car having the long commute to fill up.. (About 30 miles each way all highway)
If I go to fill up and the station is out of E85 then what do I do???
What should I do???
