I just discovered that the cast piece that the passenger side (front) torque mount is bolted to is broken. Everywhere I look I can find the strut and the radiator core side, but not the cast piece that bolts to the engine (the engine side of the dogbone). Can someone please post a part number or the actual name of the part?

I remember someone asking about this in another post. That part usually breaks due to overtightening/stress. I can't remember what the final decision was but most were suggesting to go to a junkyard.
I'll try to find the post and edit this if I do. Not likely since the GP forums search is pretty spotty.

find and use a l67 coil mount/dog bone mount, they dont break.

Alright so I found an l67 bracket from a kind soul on this forum. No bolts though. Will the bolts from the broken bracket transfer over to the l67 mount? I assume the bolt for the dogbone will transfer, its the bolts holding the bracket to the engine block that concerns me.
If the bolts do not transfer over, what size bolt would I need to purchase?

its been a while since i had mine off, but i recall the sc engine has a threaded shaft on the side where the sc tentioner gets bolted on, then theres was 2 more bolts that held it on the side of the head.
not sure how your old coil bracket was bolted on, as i dont have a n/a in my car. but i know this swap has been done countless times. should be as easy as bolting it on there.

Unfortunately the coil mount does not even come close to fitting on the l67 mount. This could get interesting. Anybody done this before? Is there another part I need to get to make this work?

Alright just to close the loop, there are threaded shafts on the NA too. The part that gets fun is getting the pad (the aluminum electronic thing the coils plug in to) attached to the l67 bracket. None of the holes line up. So what I did is I took a hack saw to the NA coil mount and cut the fins and bolt holes off the bottom. If you hold the coil pad on the modified NA mount there is one spot where you can bolt through both. I marked where that is on the l67 bracket, drilled and tapped a new hole then bolted everything together. If you wonder why I went the extra step of modifying the old mount, seems if was also acting as a heat sink and I was afraid leaving that out would burn up my coils.
Once the new bracket is in place on the engine, you will need to shoehorn the battery back in using a crowbar so be ready for that.

why a pry bar to get the battery back in? did you not move the cross brace?
i take the 2 lower bolts out, then loosen the upper one, slide it to the side. or just take it off. then theres nothing in the way.

I had the cross brace off, clearance problem was between the coil pack and the slanted part of the front clip. The previous owner may have put a larger battery in there though.
