So I'm working on swapping the seats from a 2005 grand prix into my 2001. The donor car was in a rear end collision but the airbags didn't deploy. Anyway the seatbelts from my car don't work with the new buckles so I'm trying to put the new seatbelts in but they seem to have gotten stuck on the ratcheting device. Anybody know how to get around this/why it does this?

oh and the reason it's take two is because i posted in the wrong spot the first time...oops

I have 05 Gp seats in my 02 Gp, and left the female end on the 05 seats and use the male buckle/belt from the 02 they went into and have no issues with them buckling other than giving them a little wiggle to click in fully.

Got it figured out. The passenger side had a different mounting bracket but it works fine. The seat belt retractor has a pendulum in it, so if its not oriented just right the seat belt won't come out.
