I can't get this code to go away.

    I've replaced:
    - Fuel pump (blown after 3 weeks of owning the car. I have checked and it's sealed properly. I used the rubber gasket and all that)
    - EVAP canister
    - Purge Valve
and now the gas cap, which didn't do anything.

All AC Delco parts, bought off either amazon or at a GM parts center. I got it "smoke tested" when the code first came up, and they didn't find any leaks. I'm completely lost as to where to look now. The dealership I bought it from a few months ago is of absolutely no help in finding it, and wanted to charge me nearly $400 to replace the EVAP canister, which is a joke.

I did notice that when replacing the purge valve on the engine, the vacuum line doesn't really "snap on", it just kind of slides on.. is this how they are supposed to be connected? I feel like that would be faulty, just by looking at it and assuming it would be pulling vacuum. Could it be the EGR valve? Or would that throw a different code? It looks pretty ****ty right now, definitely seen some miles.

All of the searching I've done has basically lead to the same answers. Replace gas cap, replace purge valve, then canister.. etc. I've done all of that, sadly.

    Thanks in advance

Any updates? I'd say check all lines from the gas tank, all the way to the purge valve and to the intake. This includes metal lines on the underside of the car. They could be rusted and have a hole on top that you may not see.

The connections do just slide on. If all connections and lines really look good, I'd recheck the gasket area on the fuel tank.

Sorry about not updating, been busy putting headers on my actual project car lol..

Anyway, the other night something weird occurred - my "average mpg" on the DIC started jumping around like crazy. It used to be stuck on 16.4 mpg, but after it jumped around for about a half hour drive it began to steady out. After taking the car to my girl's who lives 40 min away, it displayed 17.5 for an average! I've never seen it higher than 16.5 - any ideas why that would occur? For ****s and giggles i cleared the code, but I plan on re-checking my lines Tuesday after I get finished with the headers on my other car. Will post back again.

    Thanks guys

I put the o ring on the pump and carefully put the pump in. The hardest part was the snap ring, which was done via some "persuasion" with a rubber mallet and careful taps with a screwdriver. Just put the handle side against one of the small round tower-like pieces, then hit the tip with the mallet. That way you wont blow yourself up lol
