    I just hooked up a new blower motor resistor after i finally lost the max setting and when i tried the heater nothing. could the blower its self be bad i did not have the resistor mounted would that make a difference? Thanks

    Its possible that your blower motor is bad, check to see if you have power to it. Check your fuses. That is where I would start.

    Seeing as how you said you replaced the resistor, I would bet that it might be a possibility that your switch went bad.

    I have also seen on here where folks have said that their ignition switch was the culprit, so keep your mind open to that possibility as well. Good luck.

    I have checked all my fuses and none were burnt out. I lost the blower motor once before and it came back like 2 days later if that helps and i also pulled the park lock thing a few days ago before i lost the blower motor. I will try to find a thread about the ignition switch. I am going to pull the blower motor on monday and run some leads to it to see if it works

    Yeah it might help. You could have a bad spot on the actuator on the blower motor. With the power to the motor on, try tapping the blower motor with a screw driver handle and see if it turns on.

    And like i said, before you pull out the motor, check the plug that plugs into it for power.

    That is the plug coming from the resistor right ? or is there another one hidden somewhere ?

    well you could try that one too, but I'm talking about the one that goes to the motor too.

    Oh sorry i meant to say the plug in the blower motor that has the wires going to the resistor

    Wow i am an idiot i had the wires from the old resistor plugged into the blower motor now i just have to wait till tomorrow to get my tools so i can take the old one out and get the new one
