Hi all. Been working on my new 99gtp. I recently noticed where te a/c unit is, it says 43 ext. and ididnt know why at first but i think it is the exterior temperature.

Idk why it says 40-50s because it is in the 90s lately. I found an article that said the sensor is under the bumper. It said if u unplug and replug it will reset. It didnt. I unpluged and it still said the same temp. Any ideas what i need to do to fix it or check it?

Also, my ac works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. Could this be the problem? Possibly that it thinks its cold out so it just blows in the outside air even though its really 90+?

    Thanks for ur help

    Replace the sensor.

Common issue for them to fail.

the int temp sensor is in the front bumper , buy a new one, install it, yes it can make the a/c not work right as it thinks is 43 deg outside, not 90.

    Which part is it?

Ambient Air Temperature Sensor (this looks like the one on the front bumper)
    or
Climate Control Sun Sensor (i don't know where this one is located)

the one in the bumper, Ambient Air Temperature Sensor.

the sun sensor turns the head lights on when it gets dark, its the dark bubble on the dash. not what you need....
