Is it possible to polish a throttle body or sand it down a bit to get the burs and what not out of there without needing a tune? Basically I would be doing this out of boredom and I would like a nice clean throttle body since it's removed and I wouldn't mind cleaning it up a bit.

I think any type of work done on the bowls of the TB will require a tune. Don't quote me on that never looked into much but I'm sure others will chime in

Ya, thats why I don't want to port it because I know you need a tune for that, I just want to take out the imperfections without opening it up anymore.

You could do that but if u remove the Maf hump it will need a retune or if u open it up any it will need a retune best to just leave it alone

The tiny imperfection dont hurt anything, so its best to leave it be.
