    OK this project started with a stock 1997 GTP I bought for 1800$.
    I wanted to see how fast it would go with the most basic cheapest mods possible (part from Nitrous oxide)
    Bought 2.6 and 2.8 pulley on a MPS system from ZZP.
    Made a stainless 3" exhaust at the shop
    Bought a license for HP tuners made a tune, improved shift points.
    Installed a custom Methanol injection and installed a racing fuel tank in order to test different fuel quickly.
    Dropped some interior weight.

    The car quickly ran 12.9 @ 107 mph with winter tires. Pretty impressive I think, so the project is a Go.
    I know the car would run way quicker with slicks but I'm now going twin engine.

    So here are the twin engine swap project pictures.
    I'm going to use the factory key frame front struts and set up remove all the useless parts from the engine reenforce everything.
    After measuring everything it won't be too bad of a project to do.

    The ultimate goal is a high 10 second car on a budget with reliable components.
    Since each engine will have a lot less load to carry the front will only support 1500lbs max, the rear around 2500lbs (from the weight transfer and traction)
    The transmission, axles and the engine won't see as much load as with a single engine being cranked way up.

    Interesting. Hyundai did this with a Tiburon years back for SEMA I believe.

    I can't help but think that it's a little complicated with making sure that each motor spins the exact same RPMs maintaining the same speed and simultaneous shift points. Have fuN!

    forgive me if im wrong here, but aint the motor in backwards there? i would think it need to be facing the same way as the front engine.

    and how far does the engine go into the back seat area, any pics of inside? i hope you get this thing to fly, i didnt think it was in progress from the first post lol. looks cool so far. lots of little stuff to get synced up

    It is not that complicated. You don't have to have the same shift points on each but I will make them the same or close to keep the ECM happy.
    Also we do a lot of custom work on different cars and vehicules, engine swap, this isn't bad at all. Actually we just dropped in the body on the engine and things line up real nice.

    We have a solution for every problem. Key frame connection to the unibody, Front coils for the rear. Small shock mount modification, where to put the radiator and other things.
    What we can remove on the engine to increase HP. How to set up the suspension and align the rear wheels etc...

    It's a lot of work but not that complicated.

    I'm very relieved to see it in there, we won't have any issues. This is 100% a go and will be up and running soon enough. Although we have a lot of customer's ride to work on, this isn't a high priority and done outside the shop !
    But unless there is a major problem I expect it to be racing down the 1/4 mile within a month working on it part time.

    Thanks, also I want this to be a total sleeper. It will be quiet and will look stock or very close.
    No one will expect it to be fast on street tires but with the AWD it will be.

    i still think the engine is in the wrong way. at least i think those are the speaker holes for the rear deck lid.

    being this is what a fiero looks like with a l67.

    It's in the right way. What is confusing you is that the pic isn't taken from the back of the car but inside the car looking back.
    Basically you are looking at the front of the engine from behind the driver seat.

    ahhhh, i see now, carry on. lol i must say you guys got some mad skills. ( i do mean MAD ) are you doing some kind of a fire wall inside? whats the radiator plan for it? and fuel cell?

    Thanks... We will probably build 2 custom removable fuel cells. One of 3 gallons for racing and a larger one for street use. Not sure on the location there a few options, I'd like to position right behind the passenger seat for best weight distribution but in case of the an accident wouldn't be as safe. Best bet is behind the firewall for safety. We will build a firewall strong enough to protect the occupants.
    We will pick air up from under the car, hopefully that will be enough. I'd like to keep the car as stock looking as possible. Unfortunately we will have to put grills out the back to evacuate the air pressure building in the back during a run.

    Use the old gas door an an intake for the rear. Just put a small scoop there
