How about AWD donuts
That thing is nuts
Sent from BFE
Such a nice setup and the donuts were insane.
Miss the car already it will be a long winter
Too many cars. Too dangerous to get in an accident in a car not truly street legal.
M
My winter car. 4.6l v8 awd 360hp
it can be. Especially this special edition super rare 4.6is version
20" rims 315 wide rear tires. It has four new pirelli winter tires on. Works great on snow. Not as good on slush. for that I use my duramax.
The 4.6is engine is so rare. They are impossible find. Same goes with the sprcial version on the transmission.
So it can get expensive fast if they fail.
You guys should hear the sound system in it.. its the premium version 14 speakers including 2 factory subs

Ran 14.6 at 95 mph today with a 2.2 60 foot. 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds. That's with a TD intake mod which gave it 1 tenth improvement in the 1/4.
Those BMW 4.6L have a lot of top end being dual overhead aggressive cam design (Alpina design). But they don't have enough torque for the 5150lbs curb weight + driver.
If the torque converter was 600-1000 RPM higher, you can tell it would be much quicker (2 tenths easily).
0-60mph on dirt road is 6.3 seconds, 60 foot just 1 tenth slower. Lots of traction.
It will be hard not to turbo it...
I'm resisting so far but today was doing more serious research on the platform. Engine is supposed to be bulletproof but high compression.
Stock N/A it's a 91 octane minimum engine. So it will need meth injection to be able to make over 6 psi of boost.
And the trans in that particular model is stronger (more friction plates). I read about one Supercharged 475HP for a very large amount of miles.
Makes me think it could take the power if kept reasonable (sub 10 psi)
With trans tuning (it's got a ton of torque management) it is 2 tenths quicker.
at 10 psi of boost it would be a mid to low 13 second SUV, enough to beat a stock SRT-8 jeep.
you decide on the new body/chassis yet? i know you said some dude was interested in the 3rd gen gp
btw i found the crossover parts to use metric GM circle track parts with the FWD knuckles so you can ditch the wimpy oem LCA and get rid of the toe out under power flex
Nice, any links pictures and price ?
I'll have more budget to throw around this year into the project. Still looking on leads for built 4t65hd and a LSD as well.
Will also want to update teh 4t80e to the latest valve body mods and whatever I can do to make it not drop out of gear when launching with a lot of boost.
So far new trans is OK and withheld a lot of power/torque without failing. However I lost my 4th gear, being a 3.71 gear ratio I top out before the 1/8 mile with the rear trans.
I need 3.11 and I would love to be able to use 4th gear.
I eventually wanted to do 1/2 mile racing perhaps more once I get the car to go 100% straight under power and when I have the proper gearing.
And to answer your question, no not fully decided, I like the looks of my special edition 2007 but I know I'll be carrying 100-175lbs more with the switch.
The other reason I want to switch is there was too many 97-2003 GPs done over the year, I want something unique looking at the drag strip.
My Welder is unsure if he wants to buy anymore. 8K is a lot for a second car (he has a new Subaru STI as a summer car)
Ha! A weaponized Grand Prix. I *LIKE* it! :)
someone give this man 50k so he can deck out both powertrains lol...
